Can I invite my teammates to co-manage texts (shared inbox)?
Absolutely! You can invite other RingCentral users to co-manage any number you choose. Those teammates will only be able to access your number from within Beetexting. To see how to add new users, check out this blog post on how to manage teammates as a RingCentral user.
How do I give teammates access to my RingCentral Phone number?
To give your teammates access to your phone number, first you will need to invite them to join Beetexting (How to add a shared inbox to a RingCentral number). Once they have joined, go to Settings>Numbers and select “Manage” for the number you want to add your teammates to, and select “Add User”. Select the user you’d like to add and select “Add”. Boom! You’re RingCentral number now has a shared SMS inbox.
Can I claim a conversation or transfer a conversation to a teammate?
You sure can! To claim a conversation and let your team know you’re on it just click claim from the thread actions drawer at the top of the thread. If you know someone else is best suited to take the conversation just select transfer from the thread actions drawer and select your teammate's name. The thread will be transferred to them and they will get a notification. You’ll only be able to transfer conversations to teammates who are assigned to the line the conversation is in.
How do I select which of my RingCentral phone numbers to activate within Beetexting?
When you first set up Beetexting you'll see a list of SMS-enabled phone numbers in your RingCentral account. You'll be able to choose any numbers from this list to activate. Once you activate your number(s) on Beetexting, you and your team will have access to all of Beetexting's powerful features! At any point, or If you weren't the one to create your company's Beetexting account, just go to Settings -> Numbers to activate more and/or manage your activated numbers. You can learn how to activate and manage your RingCentral numbers in Beetexting here.
Why don’t I see all of my RingCentral numbers?
For RingCentral phone numbers to appear within Beetexting as "available" to activate, they must meet a few criteria. If the number(s) you’re looking for are not appearing as an option to activate, you’ll want to check two things. First, make sure you are assigned to that number within RingCentral. Second, make sure the phone number is text enabled within RingCentral. You can learn more about how to co-manage RingCentral numbers with Beetexting here.
Will I lose the ability to text within my RingCentral Account?
Nope. Whatever text messages you send or receive while in Beetexting will also appear within your RingCentral app.
How will I be billed?
We, Beetexting, will bill you monthly for the total number of users on your Beetexting account. RingCentral will bill you on the same cadence as you are already being billed. All of your phone number and text messaging charges will be on your RingCentral bill.
I don’t see any option to reset my password?
To access your Beetexting account, you must use your RingCentral credentials. If you need to reset your password, you’ll need to do it within RingCentral.
Can I use Beetexting to spam people?
No, you can’t. Beetexting is a platform designed to help your team text with your customers and friends. It’s not a platform to load a list of numbers in and blast messages out to people you don’t know and who don’t expect a text from you. This is against Beetexting's Terms of Use.
