RingEX “Text” Tab Moving to Beetexting (Effective April 25, 2025)

Starting April 25, there will be an important change to how texting works for customers using Beetexting with RingCentral (RingEX).

This update is designed to streamline your experience and eliminate duplicate notifications by consolidating all texting activity within Beetexting for licensed users.


What’s Changing?

If a user has a Beetexting license assigned, the “Text” tab within their RingEX account will no longer be available. Instead, texting functionality will move fully into the Beetexting app.

All phone numbers associated with licensed users will:

  • ✅ Be automatically activated in Beetexting
  • 📥 Have their conversation history imported
  • 🔕 Stop receiving duplicate text notifications from RingEX

No action is required on your part to activate Beetexting—we’ll take care of everything behind the scenes.

 

🤔 Why This Change?

We’ve heard your feedback about getting multiple notifications for the same messages in both RingEX and Beetexting. By removing the “Text” tab for Beetexting users in RingEX, we’re ensuring that:

  • Messages are centralized in one place (Beetexting)
  • You get a cleaner, more focused communication experience
  • Your team avoids confusion caused by duplicate alerts

 

✋ Need to Keep the RingEX “Text” Tab?

We understand that some users may still need access to the RingEX “Text” tab for specific workflows. If that’s the case, you can request an exception by reaching out to Beetexting support.
