Get your RingCentral Account Ready – Setup Requirements


Supercharge the SMS capabilities of your RingCentral phone numbers with Beetexting. We’ll cover the basic requirements for setting up your account, activating or managing your RingCentral phone numbers within Beetexting, and managing the users that have access to your Beetexting account. Requirements to Create a Beetexting Account and Logging In  

  1. In order to Create a Beetexting account that is integrated with your RingCentral Account, you must have an RingCentral EX Account. 
  2. Your Beetexting account will be directly tied to your RingCentral account. 
  3. Every time you log in to Beetexting, you will use your current RingCentral credentials. 
  4. If you cannot log in to your RingCentral account, you will not be able to log into Beetexting. 

How to Create a Beetexting Account 

  1. As a RingCentral user, you can get started with Beetexting by contacting RingCentral at 
  2. If signing up through our Mobile App, tap on ‘Sign up with RingCentral’ 
    1. Enter your RingCentral Credentials, (the e-mail and password associated with your RingCentral account) 
    2. Authorize and approve the RingCentral integration. 
    3. This will begin the process of RingCentral provisioning your Beetexting account for use. 
  3. Once RingCentral has completed the provisioning of your account, you’ll receive an email to the address associated with your RingCentral account. 
    1. Click on ‘Start Beetexting’ 
    2. Or, after receiving the e-mail proceed to and select ‘Log-in with RingCentral’ 
  4. Connect your RingCentral account to Beetexting by entering your credentials and select ‘Authorize Account’ 
  5. After authorizing your account, you’ll be prompted to activate any RingCentral numbers available to you. Select which numbers you’d like to activate within Beetexting and click ‘Supercharge my Numbers’ 
  6. Congratulations! You’ve completed your Beetexting account creation and will be greeted in Beetexting with a short questionnaire about how you plan to use Beetexting.

Requirements to Activate & Manage your RingCentral phone numbers in Beetexting  

  1. Beetexting allows you to activate your RingCentral phone numbers for additional SMS functionality. In order to Activate or Manage your RingCentral phone numbers within Beetexting, you must be assigned to that number within RingCentral 
  2. Company Numbers – You must be the Super Admin that created the RingCentral account, and the operator extension must be set to you 
  3. Direct Line – You must be assigned to that direct line  
  4. NOTE: Users that are not directly assigned to the number in RingCentral can be still be given access to that number within Beetexting, but they will not have admin level permissions over that particular phone number 
  5. In order for any number to be activated within Beetexting, the number must be text enabled within RingCentral. If you cannot text with your RingCentral number, start here: Unable to Send SMS ( 
  6. Instructions to Activate and Manage your Numbers 

Requirements to Add & Manage Users on Beetexting  

  • There are three main requirements that determine if your RingCentral teammates will be available to be invited into Beetexting 
  • All users must have a RingCentral account with access to the RingCentral EX product. 
  • Users must have an email associated and e-mail uniqueness is verified within their RingCentral account. 
  • Users must have an “enabled” status (you can find this within the User Details section within your RingCentral Admin portal). 
  • Current RingCentral users will be available to invite within the Users section of Beetexting  
  • If a user is not assigned to a phone number within RingCentral, they cannot activate it within Beetexting. However, you can still grant Beetexting access to that number as long as the number is assigned to you within RingCentral 
  • If a user is removed from RingCentral, they will no longer have access to Beetexting
