Beetexting Release Notes: Sept 18, 2025

Overview 

This release provides the capability to create contacts with international country codes, the Power Apps feature, improved sign up process, enhancements to both billing management and permission options, as well as bug fixes. 

What’s New 

1. Personal Template Enhancement
   1. Personal templates are no longer tied to the template permission setting. 
   2. Regardless of whether template permissions are turned on or off, users will always be able to create and manage their own personal templates. 
   3. Personal templates can be accessed and used with any numbers specifically assigned to the user. 
   4. The template permission setting will now apply only to shared templates, ensuring clearer control and separation between personal and shared resources. 
      1. When enabled: Users could create both personal and shared templates.
      2. When disabled: Users were restricted from creating even their own personal templates. 
2. Advanced Shared Template Management
   1. Currently, Super Admins do not have the ability to securely share standardized templates across the organization. When a shared template is created, some users are able to edit it, leading to inconsistencies and discrepancies in standardized content.
   2. This behavior has now been adjusted. With the update: Super Admins gain precise control over how shared templates are distributed and used across the organization. Templates can now be shared in two clearly defined modes:
      1. Access without Edit: 
         1. Appears in the Message Tray for all users linked to the assigned phone numbers. 
         2. Accessible and usable by all users, even those without template permissions. 
         3. Displayed under the Shared section with the “View” label. 
         4. These templates can only be edited by users with the Super Admin role. User’s with the Manage Template permission, but are not Super Admins will not be able to edit these templates.
      2. Can Edit:
         1. Editable only by users with Template permissions. 
         2. Displayed under the Shared section with the “Manage” label. 

How to Update 

No action is needed. Your application will be updated the next time you log in.
